Mutu
For her site-specific multimedia work Banana Stroke, Nairobi and New York City-based artist Wangechi Mutu needed two enormous theater flats on which she could both project video and paint. We constructed the flats in sections, assembling and finishing the parts on-site at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Precision finish work in the field is a challenge, but the result of our work was a seamless, unassuming surface for Wangechi to utilize.
